The Black Tower and Jesuit Church
The town of Klatovy is situated in Western Bohemia, about 40 km Southward from Plzeň (Pilsen). Is has nearly 23,000 inhabitants.

The town was founded in 1260 by Czech king Přemysl Otakar II. to protect the kingdom and merchant way to Bavaria. During the Middle Ages Klatovy was enhancing and it has developed into one of the most important town in Bohemia. In the 17th century the town grew into regional centre of knowledge thanks to Jesuits, who came in 1636. In the same year they founded secondary school and three years after The Baroque Pharmacy, which is marked as an UNESCO monument.
